Oh my goodness. Hi everybody.

It has been a WHILE since I updated y’all, and it’s long overdue. Please allow me to catch y’all up on the last few weeks of my life!

First I just want to say the biggest thank you I possibly can to anyone who has supported me financially and prayerfully. I prayed that the Lord would provide all the funds before we launched on the field, and He did y’all! I’m fully funded, praise God!!! I have felt so loved and supported by each of you. Thank you Lord & thank you everyone who has partnered with me in this. Thank you also for your continued prayers, as they are needed so much.

(My squad: Alabaster 16! I love these people so much.)

January 2nd started a month-long process of training in Gainesville, Georgia at the Adventures in Missions base before going back out onto the field. With such a short time to train and so much to learn, everyday was packed (and I mean PACKED) to the brim with incredibly beneficial information. We squeezed 15 weeks of Perspectives Training into 15 days, got certified in several Compassion Fatigue therapy courses by a certified Traumatology therapist, and had so many incredible teachings by current and previous Adventures in Missions staff. I am so grateful for the time spent in Gainesville, Ga, and have felt set up so well because of it.

(My team: The Dusty Disciples! I can’t wait to share more about them in a future blog. From left to right: Kori Moon, Stephanie Hardy, Drew Davidson, Emily Mccann, Elina Landin, and Ben Bigcraft.)

On January 29th, the squad and I set out to our first country. Two-thirds of our squad has been in Albania for the past week, while my team and I headed to Montenegro. And oh my goodness… I’ve been overwhelmed by the Lord’s favor and goodness.

(This is the view from our balcony.)

Upon first arrival, we almost couldn’t believe our eyes with how beautiful everything was. We live right in between where the mountains meet the sea. The land is covered by olive trees, the air is crisp & cold, and the sun shines brightly. There is truly nothing like it. It is simply breathtaking. Thank you, Jesus.

Encounter after encounter has proved that our short time here has been richly blessed by The Lord. We’ve been able to make connections with many locals in ways that typically take 1-3 months to form, not 1 week. That’s God, though- always exceeding what we can hope for or imagine. We’ve found an incredible church body to point locals back to, and have been spending the past few nights getting to know the members there. Our team has been unified in a way that can only be attributed to supernatural goodness from the Lord. Overall, it’s been such a rich week full of vibrant beauty and deep authentic connection. I cannot wait to share more with y’all about how the Lord is moving in Montenegro as we’ll continue to follow the Holy Spirit here.

(We live next to the Adriatic Sea. Montenegro is the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen.)

As we continue to minister to the people here, please keep us all in your prayers. Pray that the Lord would move in and through us in a loving and powerful way, and that we would be able to listen to His voice so clearly. Please pray that we would continue to step out in faith and boldness as He is leading us each and every day. Please pray for my teammates Steph, Ben, and Drew as they are trying to be fully funded as soon as possible (their blog info is linked below if any of you feel led to donate.)

Thank you so much for taking the time to read! I love each and every one of you dearly, and pray Jesus would be near to you with joy and tenderness.

I’ll talk to y’all soon.

Love, Kori.
