1. your feelings are valid but not always true. you can be upset at someone. that’s valid. the reason behind why you’re upset might not be true. always ask. always seek out understanding. don’t stand for annoyance. talk to each other.
2. acts is an incredible book and I’m so happy I’m reading it finally.
3. you CAN trust others.
4. feedback is incredibly necessary, so helpful, and changes everything.
5. living with 9 women in one bedroom is insane.
6. living with 50 Christ loving people is really hard, really fun, and really inspiring. every person is so uniquely crafted it’s unbelievable to think they were all made by the same God. we’ve all simultaneously had similar and vastly different life experiences which is teaching me so much.
7. raw and unpracticed worship is gorgeous and awesome.
8. worship sometimes looks like 47 18-20 year olds painting with watercolors. sometimes it’s picking up a guitar for the first time since you were eight.
9. ecuador is so incredibly phenomenal. everyday morning is like that same feeling of Christmas morning and the view is like the opening scene of The Sound of Music. it’s cozy and filled with devotional and warm porridge and flakey bread and papaya juice. it’s amazing.
10. our leadership isn’t perfect, but it’s pretty dang incredible. thanks, Jesus.
11. sometimes you and your friends have a tea party in the bathroom.
12. and sometimes when you’re on the race, you find out that you’re capable of helping your friend who is throwing up in the bathroom. this is real life y’all hahahaha. (don’t worry she’s okay and she went to the doctor! all is well!)
