leaving guatemala has been the hardest transition so far for me on the race. i quickly felt like guate became my home and my ministry hosts became like a sister and mom to me. leaving is sad and difficult and so much different than the other transitions i’ve made. i’m so thankful for the time i got to spend there.

it’s my first day here in cambodia and it’s still hard to wrap my mind around not living in guate. my squad and i have frequently responded to people in spanish in the airport and in our short time being here. it’s so hard to leave latino culture to something so polar opposite. from the big changes like language, dominate religion or lack thereof, and weather (i’ve never experienced heat like this even in georgia), to the little changes like hot verses iced coffee (i’ve had 3 cups of coffee today and it’s 10 am), the sunrises, and the lack of shoes here (THANK YOU LORD #barefootforlife), i am thankful and excited for the change in this season. it’s hard and good.

how can you be praying for me and my squad?

prayers for the change to be an easy one and for us to adjust to the culture and heat smoothly.

prayers that we have a great attitude the last 3 months of the race.

prayers over our futures and remaining healthy in the states.

prayers that we are able to share the gospel despite all the barriers in between us.

much love,

talk to y’all soon,
